First Holy Communion

Liturgical & Music Ministry

  • oversees preparation for Mass:  fills all vacant ministry positions, prepares wine, hosts, and communion vessels, etc

  • assists other ministers as needed

  • assists visiting presiders as needed

Sacristan

  • prepares and distributes Communion

  • must be Confirmed

Eucharistic Minister

  • proclaims Scripture readings, Prayers of the Faithful, & announcements

  • workbook provided

Lector

  • welcomes people as they come for Mass & distributes worship aids

  • provides basic information/assistance to the assembly as needed

Greeter

  • provides basic information/assistance to the assembly as needed

  • collects the gifts

  • counts Mass attendance

  • assists with flow of the people during Communion

Usher

  • carries processional cross

  • assists presider as needed: holding books, lighting candles, preparing the gifts, etc.

  • must be third grade or older & must have celebrated First Eucharist

Altar Server

  • record the livestream of Mass to our YouTube channel

Livestream Mass

  • ages 16+

  • rehearses 7-8:30 pm on Thursdays

  • sings approximately twice/month

Adult Choir

Youth Ensemble

  • grades 7-12

  • rehearses 5:15-6:30 pm on Wednesdays

  • sings once/month

  • grades 2-6

  • rehearses 5-6 pm on Thursdays

  • sings once/month at Mas

Children's Choir

  • sings in small groups and leads music in Mass

  • rehearses 6-7 pm on Thursdays as scheduled

  • some music reading abilities preferred

Cantor

  • professional, compensated position

  • keyboard skills required, intermediate level+

  • understanding of Catholic liturgy preferred

  • scheduling is flexible

Accompanist

  • guitar, flute, percussion, or other instruments as available

  • intermediate ability level

  • scheduling is flexible

  • provides own instrument (except drums)

Instrumentalist

Training is provided for all ministries.

Senior Residence Ministry

  • This ministry is in the process of beginning once again! Contact Gretchen if you are interested.

  • If you are looking to receive the Sacraments for someone who is sick or homebound, please contact Fr. Mike.

Money Counters

  • count collection on Sunday mornings

Launder Communion Linens

  • launder, iron, & fold Communion linens approximately 4 times annually

Liturgical Environment Team

  • using the plans of the Arts & Environment Committee, the decorating team decorates the liturgical spaces

  • we need some muscle for the team to help us take down totes and other decorations!
