Faith Formation
The program we use at MOTV is called Journey of Faith. We are excited to invite all members of our parish, of all ages, to participate in the monthly sessions!
JOF is for ages Kindergarten through adult. Sessions meet roughly once/month for 90 minutes and all family members attend at the same time on the same evening. Adults gather to learn and reflect on the month's topic while K-10 grades meet in grade level classes.
*At least one parent of youth in K-10 is expected to attend when their child(ren) attend.
Sessions meet on Wednesdays at 6:30pm in both locations. If you have a preference on location, indicate that when you register.

Finding Hope in a Fractured World
Faith Formation is for EVERYONE and we invite the entire parish to join us at our adult sessions! They are free to attend and we have 5 speakers throughout the year from both Mary of the Visitation & Christ our Light in Princeton. We highly encourage you to put these dates on your calendar now and continue together on our journey of faith!

First ReconciliationList Item 1
Preparation for the celebration of First Reconciliation begins in the Fall for children in grade 2 (or older children who have not yet celebrated this Sacrament) and their families.
Prep for and celebration of this Sacrament is a prerequisite for the celebration of First Eucharist.

First CommunionList Item 2
Preparation for the celebration of First Eucharist is a two part process. It begins in the fall with the preparation for and celebration of First Reconciliation, and continues with specific preparation for First Eucharist beginning in January for children in grade 2 (or older children who have not yet received their First Eucharist) and their families.

- Leads a Journey of Faith classroom with activities and lessons (provided)

Assistant CatechistList Item 2
- Assists catechist with classroom activities and keeps students engaged.

Substitute CatechistList Item 3
- Fills in for absent catechists as needed (lesson plans provided).

Vacation Bible School Helper
- Assist in planning our summer VBS.
- Assist in helping at our week long summer VBS for kids ages 3-5th grade.

Liturgy of the Word for Children
- Plan, lead, and/or assist in age-appropriate readings & reflection on Scripture at the 10:30am Mass twice/month.
- Workbooks provided.
WEATHER POLICY: We will follow what the schools decide to do. If they decide to close early or move to e-learning, we will also cancel any Faith Formation activities for the evening.
